Led by winemaker Tony Biagi and associate winemaker Adrien Halpin, NEOTEMPO interprets each vineyard and vintage on its own terms. Rather than impose a fixed house recipe, we seek to understand what is distinctive about every site and vintage and then make the decisions that allow its character to emerge with clarity.
Respect for Site
Each wine begins with the character and potential of its vineyard. Soil, elevation, exposure, climate, vine material, and farming history inform how we approach every site.
Vine-Level Attention
We farm each vineyard as a mosaic of smaller parcels, responding to variation from block to block, row to row, and vine to vine rather than treating the site as a single uniform piece of land.
Parcel-by-Parcel Harvest
Harvest decisions are guided by flavor, texture, physiological maturity, and the progression of each parcel. This allows different sections of a vineyard to be picked at the moment that best preserves their individual expression.
Cellar Interpretation
Fermentation, extraction, barrel selection, toast, élevage, and blending are adapted to the site and vintage. Each choice is made to build structure and refinement without obscuring the wine’s origin.
Our approach marries technology-enabled innovation with artisanal expertise. Technology brings greater precision, continuity, and insight to the vineyard and cellar, while the final decisions remain grounded in taste, judgment, intuition, and experience.
The objective is not uniformity. Each wine should retain its own identity—expressing the place where it was grown, the conditions of its vintage, and a shared NEOTEMPO perspective defined by balance, clarity, and the capacity to evolve.

Planted in 2012 and precision farmed vine by vine, the estate brings together three Cabernet Sauvignon clones—412, 685, and 338—to capture the distinctive character of this singular site.

The Hidden Art of Wine
In the spirit of exploring the connection between nature, art, and science, we are proud to share microscopic photographs of crystals formed from NEOTEMPO wines across our portfolio and vintages.
Since 2021, we have partnered with internationally recognized nature photographer and researcher Dr. Robert Berdan to explore new methods for forming and photographing crystals from our wines. Working in his laboratory, Dr. Berdan has continued to refine the process, creating a growing visual archive that reveals another dimension of each wine and vintage.
Much like a fingerprint, every crystal is unique, with its own patterns, textures, and colors. These images offer a rare opportunity to experience our wines through both taste and sight—and to discover the hidden natural beauty within every bottle.
Dr. Berdan is a remarkable artist, researcher, and generous teacher. He has written an illuminating article exploring the photographic process, the history of crystal imaging, and his ongoing collaboration with NEOTEMPO. His original work is also available through his website.
