KIATRA ESTATE 2021 is the inaugural vintage of our flagship estate Cabernet Sauvignon — the wine that started the NEOTEMPO story.
A decade after planting the KIATRA Estate vineyard, this first release exceeded every expectation and revealed the full potential of our small estate vineyard just south of the Stags Leap District.
Dark, sensual, vibrant, and precise, the wine captures the founding idea behind NEOTEMPO: nature, art, science, sustainability, and innovation working together to create wines of distinction.

The 2021 growing season was historically dry and warm, producing smaller berries, lower yields, and grapes full of flavor.
The wine is composed of two clones of Cabernet Sauvignon selected from three estate blocks and harvested over three nights in September 2021.
Each late-night harvest was designed to maximize phenolic ripeness and preserve the clonal diversity within the vineyard — creating a wine of texture, tension, depth, and lift.

Sustainable Design
With Purpose
This wine, like all NEOTEMPO wines, is made from grapes farmed using organic and biodynamic farming techniques focused on soil vitality, vine balance, and long-term ecosystem health.
Kiatra Estate is certified organic by CCOF and Napa Green, reflecting our commitment to responsible farming practices and long-term environmental stewardship.
Since 2016, all rainwater collected from our roofs has been stored and used to recharge the estate well system that supports vineyard farming.
Since 2020, we have reduced irrigation water usage through precision irrigation and plant-level farming practices designed to improve efficiency while preserving vineyard balance and fruit quality.
Since 2022, vineyard operations have transitioned to electric tractors and electric blowers, enabling zero-emissions farming across the estate.
More than 100 solar panels power the vineyard and estate operations, helping reduce environmental impact while supporting a more sustainable farming future.
Our patented hexagonal bottle is crafted entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled glass and designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising luxury, presence, or tactile experience. The unique patented shape improves packing efficiency by allowing more bottles per pallet during transportation while also increasing structural durability — helping reduce the overall carbon footprint of shipping wine.

The KIATRA ESTATE wines showcase the results of our farming and winemaking approach in harmony with the unique cooler climate of our southern Napa Valley vineyard. Our intention is to make balanced wines using precision techniques from soil to bottle. The small production of this wine is a testament to our commitment to the best representation of our estate in each vintage and our focus on quality over quantity.
2021 KIATRA ESTATE Vintage Summary:
2021 was a historically dry yet warm growing season that resulted in tiny berries and lower yields but grapes full of flavor. The 2021 vintage of our KIATRA ESTATE is comprised of two clones of Cabernet Sauvignon selected from three blocks, harvested over three nights during September 2021. Each late-night harvest was designed to maximize phenolic ripeness and clonal diversity within our vineyard.
Winemaking
The winemaking team led by Tony Biagi built on the foundation of the fruit using 80% new French Oak Barrels to create a balanced, yet complex wine balanced between acidity, tannins, and the cooler southern Napa cabernet fruit. Texture and tension are hallmarks of this wine and 2021 is a perfect vintage to showcase these attributes.
Aroma and Bouquet
Aromatically this wine has balance in flavors and bouquet spanning black and red fruit profiles, spice, and savory notes. The vibrant nose has fruit flavors of raspberry, black cherries, spice driven hints of black pepper, cinnamon and mint and savory notes of cocoa nibs, sandal wood, cedar, and tobacco.
Tasting Notes
A very elegant wine with classic structure, wonderful detail, and nuance. Extraordinary balance across fruit, tannins, and acid. Rich, decadent fruit flavors seamlessly surrounded with tightly woven tannins and a freshness that we really love and reminds us of the great wines from previous decades and generations. The palate is elegant and textural with a focused mid-palate and expands through, slowly unfolding through a long finish.
Serving Sugestion
This wine drinks beautifully now especially with decanting and will continue to improve over the next twelve years and gracefully age for another two decades.
The color white is associated with purity – the embossed tree branches are a pair of black oak trees on our estate aged about 100 years old. The emboss symbolizes texture.
