This wine is the benchmark by which we compare all of our future wines as it perfectly captures the balance we seek in world class Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes it approachable when young hinting at great aging potential as well. Balancing texture and tension are the hallmarks of this wine and 2021 is a perfect vintage to showcase these attributes. 

Aromatically this wine has balance in flavors and bouquet spanning black and red fruit profiles, spice, and savory notes. The vibrant nose has fruit flavors of raspberry, black cherries, spice driven hints of black pepper, cinnamon and mint and savory notes of cocoa nibs, sandal wood, cedar, and tobacco.

This wine is very elegant with classic structure, wonderful detail, and nuance. Extraordinary balance across fruit, tannins, and acid. Rich, decadent fruit flavors seamlessly surrounded with tightly woven tannins and a freshness that we really love and reminds us of the great wines from previous decades and generations. The palate is elegant and textural with a focused mid-palate and expands through, slowly unfolding through a long finish. This wine drinks beautifully now especially with decanting and will continue to improve over the next twelve years and gracefully age for another two decades.
