The Latest
Harvest on Record
The 2023 vintage was shaped by a cool spring and an extended temperate summer that encouraged slow, even ripening and remarkable balance.
This year also marked the beginning of our collaboration with Simonit & Sirch, the renowned Italian masters of vine pruning focused on vine longevity and natural sap flow.
The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon of remarkable balance, layered complexity, and enduring elegance.

Sustainable Design
With Purpose
This wine, like all NEOTEMPO wines, is made from grapes farmed using organic and biodynamic farming techniques focused on soil vitality, vine balance, and long-term ecosystem health.
Kiatra Estate is certified organic by CCOF and Napa Green, reflecting our commitment to responsible farming practices and long-term environmental stewardship.
Since 2016, all rainwater collected from our roofs has been stored and used to recharge the estate well system that supports vineyard farming.
Since 2020, we have reduced irrigation water usage through precision irrigation and plant-level farming practices designed to improve efficiency while preserving vineyard balance and fruit quality.
Since 2022, vineyard operations have transitioned to electric tractors and electric blowers, enabling zero-emissions farming across the estate.
More than 100 solar panels power the vineyard and estate operations, helping reduce environmental impact while supporting a more sustainable farming future.
Our patented hexagonal bottle is crafted entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled glass and designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising luxury, presence, or tactile experience. The unique patented shape improves packing efficiency by allowing more bottles per pallet during transportation while also increasing structural durability — helping reduce the overall carbon footprint of shipping wine.

2023 KIATRA ESTATE Vintage Summary:
2022 was a historically dry yet warm growing season that resulted in smaller berries and lower yields but grapes full of flavor. This vintage of our KIATRA ESTATE is comprised of three clones of Cabernet Sauvignon selected from six blocks, harvested by hand over two nights during September 2022. Each late-night harvest was designed to maximize phenolic ripeness and the clonal diversity within our vineyard and provide the winemaking team with the ingredients to make the best expression of our vineyard and the 2022 growing season.
Winemaking
The winemaking team led by Tony Biagi built on the foundation of the fruit using 80% new French oak barrels to create a balanced, yet complex wine that proportionally display acidity, tannins, and the cooler southern Napa cabernet fruit. Balance, texture and tension are hallmarks of this wine and 2022 is a perfect vintage to showcase these attributes. This is Tony’s favorite wine from NEOTEMPO to date.
Aroma and Bouquet
This wine unfolds with enticing aromas of luscious red cherry and kirsch liqueur, while subtle herbal notes of lavender and fresh mint add a soothing nuance. As the wine opens, hints of black tea and undertones of dark chocolate and tobacco emerge. Warm spices, particularly cinnamon and anise, weave in and out of the fruit, creating a complex and inviting aroma profile.
Tasting Notes
The 2022 Kiatra presents a black fruit-driven profile, with succulent flavors of bing cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. A touch of black pepper adds a spicy nuance, enhancing the fruit’s depth. Underlying minerality provides a crisp, refreshing backbone, complimenting the richness of the fruit and leaving a clean, lingering finish. The interplay of fruit, spice, and minerality creates a harmonious and engaging wine with polished tannins.
Serving Suggestion
This wine drinks beautifully now especially with decanting (90 minutes) and will continue to improve over the next twelve years and gracefully age for another two decades.
The color white is associated with purity – the embossed tree branches are a pair of black oak trees on our estate aged about 100 years old. The emboss symbolizes texture.
