A Decade
in the Making
The 2021 KIATRA Estate is the wine that brought NEOTEMPO to life.
Nearly a decade after planting the vineyard, we released our first estate Cabernet Sauvignon from this small site just south of the Stags Leap District. It brought together years of farming, experimentation, winemaking, and design in one complete expression.
Working with winemaker Tony Biagi, we harvested and fermented the vineyard’s blocks and clones separately, then assembled the final blend through a series of tastings. The result reflects what we had always hoped KIATRA could become: distinctive, balanced, and deeply connected to its place.

02 — Vintage & Craft
Small Berries.
Deep Flavor.
A historically dry, warm growing season naturally limited yields and produced small, concentrated berries.
The wine brings together two Cabernet Sauvignon clones selected from three estate blocks. The fruit was picked across three harvest nights in September, allowing each section to reach maturity on its own schedule.
The season gave the wine depth without heaviness: ripe dark fruit, fresh acidity, and finely structured tannins held in balance.

Dark Fruit,
Savory Herbs & Silk
The wine opens with dark blue fruit, ripe plum, violet, rosemary, and bay leaf, followed by cedar and warm spice. On the palate, bright sour cherry and wild bramble fruit meet a plush, silky texture. Fresh acidity and finely structured tannins keep the wine composed through a long, savory finish. Expressive today with decanting, it has the structure to evolve gracefully for years.

Kiatra Vineyard has been farmed organically from the beginning, with each decision guided by the long-term health of the soil, vines, and surrounding ecosystem.
Precision irrigation, stored rainwater, solar power, and electric vineyard equipment help reduce resource use and operational emissions. The wine is presented in NEOTEMPO’s patented hexagonal bottle, designed to unite visual identity, recycled glass, durability, and more efficient transport.
