2023 SENSORIA LOVE
Rosé of Grenache

Sensoria Love is our tribute to love across the world.
The idea behind this wine was hatched in 2021 when the world was in chaos and the global pandemic was highlighting uncertainty and stress for all of around the world. Like many of our friends we spent a good bit of time drinking from our cellar and enjoying music and art – anything to take the stress away.
Our intent with NEOTEMPO SENSORIA is to craft a serious wine with structure and complexity that can be the center of multi-sensory experiences highlighting the alchemy of nature, art, and science to feed the senses, the mind, and the soul. Whether it’s wine and food pairings, music and wine pairing, or art shows. We wanted to craft a rosé wine that was unique, complex, with texture and could pair with food from around the globe from Mediterranean tapas, pizza and seafood to popcorn and everything in between. We knew we could source great organic fruit and enjoyed the freedom to plan and get the right fruit at the right season.
Before we formed our plan for the wine, we started a journey of re-discovery and tried rosé wines from great producers around the world with different cultivars and different production methods from here in California, to Bandol to Rioja. We sampled rosé wines made from Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and even a rosé made from South African Pinotage.
Why Grenache?
In 2022 while traveling in Barcelona, Grenache based rosés came to the forefront – Spain’s Garnacha and Garnatxa are among the most well-known, as well as France’s Grenache, Cannonau (Sardinia), Tai Rosso, or formerly Tocai Rosso (Veneto) in Italy. The grape quickly became popular throughout Spain and was brought to the New World by Spanish missionaries. In California, Grenache was one of the most planted grape varieties until the mid-20th century. Today, it is not as widely planted as it once was, but it still produces some excellent wines.
We wanted to craft a wine that was complex, yet can be enjoyed during warm days across the globe. After a long search we selected grapes sourced from an organic vineyard in Sonoma to make this rosé of Grenache using a direct method meaning all the grapes were selected only to make our Sensoria Love Grenache Rosé.
SENSORIA LOVE demanded a different visual identity so the artist we chose to work with represents that desire and we are proud to showcase the art of the contemporary street artist Nick Walker on our SENSORIA LOVE bottle. Nick Walker is one of the world’s best known street artists. Born in 1969, he emerged from the infamous and ground-breaking Bristol graffiti scene of the early 1980s.
During the 2020 lockdown period, we acquired an original Nick Walker piece named “Haunted Love” and SENSORIA LOVE is an adaptation of that painting so the label is very dear to our hearts. Nick has been very enthusiastic about collaborating with us in creating a special version of “Haunted Love” that beautifully adorns the length of our unique hex bottle shape.
